Our Services.

  • Food Pantry

Central’s Food Pantry is at the heart of our outreach. Open every Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and every Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., the pantry provides nutritious groceries to anyone in need. Located on the first floor of the church, it is stocked weekly through our partnership with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in Verona. In 2023, the Food Pantry served 10,450 individuals and distributed 185,792 pounds of food, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and community partners.

  • Food Lion Ministry

Each week, Central receives food donations from Food Lion that help stock our shelves and provide fresh, quality items for our neighbors. These contributions are distributed directly through our Food Pantry, ensuring that every visit offers a variety of nutritious options and that no food goes to waste.

  • Go Pantry

The Go Pantry program extends the reach of our ministry beyond the church walls. On the first and third Thursday of each month, volunteers deliver groceries to neighbors who are unable to visit the Food Pantry due to health or transportation challenges. Each delivery offers nourishment and connection, bringing comfort and care right to the doorstep.

  • Agape Noon Lunch

Once a month, Central prepares and serves lunch at Trinity Episcopal Church through our Agape Noon Lunch program. This ministry provides a warm meal and fellowship to those experiencing hunger, reminding each guest that they are valued, loved, and never alone.es here

  • Daily+ Bread Minstry

Daily Bread Ministry exists to make sure good food is shared freely and thoughtfully throughout our community. Through a network of generous partners, donated bread and baked goods are picked up and delivered each week to local pantries, schools, and organizations that serve neighbors of all ages. From grocery stores and bakeries to community partners who help distribute food directly to families and children, this effort is rooted in simple care and coordination. Every loaf has a purpose, every delivery matters, and everything is offered at no cost because access to food should always come with dignity and kindness.

  • 3 White Hats and a Dog

Three White Hats and a Dog is about showing up with something warm and familiar and making sure everyone feels welcome at the table. On pantry days, volunteers prepare and serve hot dogs with chili and mac and cheese for anyone using the Saturday pantry. It is simple food, cooked with care, meant to nourish both body and spirit. Whether fired up on the grill or prepared another way when the weather turns cold, the goal stays the same. Good food, shared generously, no questions asked.

  • Millie's Children's Breakfast Club

Millie’s Children’s Breakfast Club is a small but meaningful way to make sure children start their day nourished and cared for. Held on the third Saturday of each month, the program provides free, healthy take home breakfasts for children under 12. It is simple, thoughtful, and rooted in the belief that no child should begin the day hungry. Through consistency and kindness, this effort helps families feel supported and children feel seen.

  • Trinity Noon Lunch

Trinity Noon Lunch is a steady and welcoming presence for neighbors in need of a warm meal and a friendly face. Hosted by Trinity Episcopal Church. Held on the second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday of each month, Trinity Noon Lunch offers hot meals prepared and shared with care. It is a place where consistency matters. Where a simple lunch becomes a moment of connection, dignity, and belonging.

  • Soup Sunday

Soup Sunday offers comfort during the colder months, gathering the community around a warm bowl and a shared table. Taking place on the first Sunday of each month from October through April, lunch is served following Sunday worship. It is a seasonal tradition rooted in hospitality, reminding everyone that warmth, nourishment, and fellowship often begin with something as simple as soup.
