Who We Are
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…” – Matthew 25:35
At Central, we take these words to heart. What began as a simple food pantry in our church basement has grown into something far greater, a living expression of faith, compassion, and shared purpose. Today, Central Feeding Ministry extends beyond our walls, reaching neighbors across the community with warm meals, grocery deliveries, and the kind of connection that nourishes both body and soul.
Many in our congregation have felt a deep calling to serve in this way, understanding that food is often just the first step. A meal opens the door to conversation, dignity, and hope. It says, “You are seen. You matter.” Each encounter becomes a reminder that love is abundant and that we are all bound together by the simple, sacred act of caring for one another.
Through partnerships, volunteers, and the generosity of those who give, this ministry continues to grow, one meal, one family, one act of kindness at a time. Every plate shared and every delivery made reflects the Gospel in motion, a quiet but powerful testament to what it means to live out our faith.
In 2023 alone, Central’s Food Pantry served 10,450 people and distributed more than 185,000 pounds of food. Behind each of those numbers is a story, a family fed, a burden lifted, a moment of grace. Together, we are proving what is possible when a community comes together, united by love and the belief that no one should ever go without.
