Feed my sheep: Won Un and members of Central United Methodist provide valuable food ministry in Staunton
When Rev. Won Un arrived in Staunton in 2013 at Central United Methodist Church, he walked into the sanctuary and almost immediately knew it was a good fit for him.
He noticed two old, solid wooden pews that had been cut in half to make room for those using wheelchairs. He figured if they went to that effort to make people feel welcome, maybe it was the church for him. Then he started seeing the other work that the church was doing in the community and was convinced it was where he should be.
"When I came here I thought it was a good match," Un said. "This was a very mission-minded church. And still is. They reach out to the community."
